meta
Definition and Usage
The <meta> tag provides metadata about the HTML document. Metadata will not be displayed on the page, but will be machine parsable. Meta elements are typically used to specify page description, keywords, author of the document, last modified, and other metadata. The <meta> tag is used to provide such additional information. This tag is an empty element and so does not have a closing tag but it carries information within its attributes. The HTML<meta>
element represents metadata that cannot be represented by other HTML meta-related elements, like <base>,<link>,<script>,<style> or <title>
