pre
Definition and Usage
The HTML <pre> tag is used for indicating preformatted text. The code tag surrounds the code being marked up. Browsers normally render pre text in a fixed-pitched font, with whitespace and without word wrap. Text in a <pre> element is displayed in a fixed-width font (usually Courier), and it preserves both spaces and line breaks.Text within this element is typically displayed in a non-proportional monospace font exactly as it is laid out in the file. Whitespace inside this element is displayed as typed. Syntax<pre>text</pre>
