sup
Definition and Usage
The tag defines superscript text. Superscript text appears half a character above the normal line, and is sometimes rendered in a smaller font. Superscript text can be used for footnotes, like WWW. The HTML
element defines a span of text that should be displayed, for typographic reasons, higher, and often smaller, than the main span of text.
Subscripts and superscripts are often used in mathematical expressions and in languages such as French as a convention to represent some abbreviations.
Also see the tag for defining subscript text.
